How to use Billing Rules to provide greater flexibility when invoicing Projects in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations - Enterprise Edition
Join us on Thursday, September 14th at 11am PDT to explore how flexible billing rules can be used to invoice projects that require more complex billing methods. See the useful features of the multiple Billing Rules in the Project Management and Accounting module and find out how to use Billing Rules to invoice your clients when the “normal” billing methods simply won’t work for your project.

We’ll cover these five Billing Rules including their setup, when, and how to use them:
  • Progress billing – based on the level of progress completed on a project
  • Milestone billing – invoice based on completing specific milestones agreed to by the client
  • Time & Material billing – only valid for time and material type projects to set what type of work is billable & what is not
  • Unit of Delivery billing – used when certain number of items need to be delivered to a customer
  • Fee Billing - works on top of an existing billing rule; mark-up applied to invoice when generated based on another billing rule
